Dear Guest, Welcome to the Zakuszka-farm Foundation homepage.
My name is Andi Várkonyi. I was born non 29th May 1979 in Budapest, Hungary. Ever since I was a little girl I have been crazy about animals. My love for horses and riding dates back to when I was 10. I spent all of my free time around them on countryside stud farms and with private equestrians near Budapest.
Zakuszka-farm Foundation was incorporated in 2008. Between then and 2012 when we were involved actively in animal rescue the lives of 26 dogs, 30 horses and 36 cats were saved.
Our experiences and opportunities necessitated the reorganization of our Foundation in 2012. Although we continue to attend to the currently fostered rescued animals, our main function became writing, illustrating and distributing various publications targeting children and in the interest to raise awareness about the protection of animals. It is also amongst our plans to compile educational brochures for schools. Depending on the sufficiency of our founds we would also like to organize spay/neuter campaigns in the future.
Since 2008 the Zakuszka-farm Foundation is a non-profit organization and from the year 2011 we are entitled to receive the 1% tax benefit donations of private citizens.
If you would like to contribute to our cause, please donate to the Zakuszka-tanya Alapítvány. Our account number is 11735005-20540371 (OTP). All donations are greatly appreciated.
